History and Mission
The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island is dedicated to increasing awareness of brain injury and its consequences, providing education to prevent brain injury, and enhancing the quality of life for those affected by brain injury.
The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island accomplishes our mission through advocacy, education and awareness and supports efforts to prevent brain injuries, minimize the impact of brain injury and maximize the quality of life for all those effected by brain injury.

The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island supports these guiding principles through networking, partnering and collaborating. Vision and Guiding Principles - Approved by BIARI Board of Directors – October 2015.
In 1983, families of persons with brain injuries founded the Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island (BIARI) to provide desperately needed resources, information and access to services.
