Title: “COVID-19 – Neurocognitive and Psychological Effects”
Speaker: Dr. Horn
Description: Dr. Horn, a clinical neuropsychologist, the National Deputy Director of Clinical Outcomes and a NeuroRestorative Clinical Director, will speak about the Neurological and Neuropsychological effects of COVID-19. Participants will learn and understand the recovery process and complications that may occur, the uncontrolled stress associated with the COVID pandemic and how this parallels the chronicity of traumatic brain injury, and other neurological diseases. Participants will also learn about stress management techniques for acute stress and chronic stress response.

Title: Play Fair! The Impact of Health Inequities on Children with Traumatic Brain Injury
Presented by: The Commission for Case Manager Certification
Description: In this session, the presenter will discuss statistics related to brain injuries in children and the types of injuries most often seen. Special emphasis will be placed on the social determinants that contribute to the health inequities noted in this population. Strategies for case management intervention to improve the outcomes for these children will be discussed.

Special emphasis will be placed on the social determinants that contribute to less than optimal outcomes for this population. Strategies to identify resources, improve access and coping skills, via case management intervention to improve the outcomes will be discussed.
